Role Overview
Administer, tune performance, and plan capacity for Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle GoldenGate, and other IT database systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and upgrade Oracle databases and corresponding application tools.
- Monitor system health and performance.
- Ensure high performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
- Provide suggestions for technical solutions.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployments after working hours.
Requirements and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least six years of experience as an Oracle DBA or in a similar role.
- Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Exadata, OGG, and engineered systems.
- Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and database migration techniques.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, ownership, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
