Job Purpose

Provide professional eye care services including vision testing, diagnosis, and prescription.

Contribute to sales performance, customer experience, and store operations.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
  • Diagnose visual problems and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Develop prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses.
  • Conduct contact lens fitting and follow-up assessments.
  • Educate patients on contact lens care, usage, and safety.
  • Monitor patient adaptation and manage related concerns.
  • Analyze test results and provide treatment recommendations.

Patient Care and Store Support

  • Maintain clinical accuracy, patient safety, documentation, and patient records.
  • Recommend appropriate lenses and upgrades to support sales conversion.
  • Work with the sales team to close prescriptions into sales.
  • Contribute to store targets and reduce lost prescriptions.
  • Handle patient concerns and build trusted long-term relationships.
  • Guide and train staff on prescriptions, eye care basics, and product knowledge.

Clinical Compliance and Operations

  • Maintain and ensure proper functioning of clinical instruments.
  • Monitor trial lenses for validity, safety, and usability.
  • Ensure the clinic area meets hygiene and safety standards.
  • Follow clinical, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with SCFHS and healthcare standards.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the job.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
  • Understanding of optical products and the sales process.
  • Ability to balance clinical care with commercial awareness.
  • Strong communication and patient counseling skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality care.

Experience and Education

  • 1–4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in optometry.

Language and Certification

  • Excellent oral and written English and Arabic.
  • SCFHS license or certification.
