Role Overview
Experienced, hands-on Operations Manager role for a growing bakery and pastry business in Ajman, UAE.
The role oversees production, retail, online orders, catering, events, coffee-cart services, and B2B accounts.
Daily Operations
- Oversee production, order preparation, packing, retail, online orders, catering, events, and B2B requirements.
- Ensure orders and customer commitments are completed accurately and on time.
- Coordinate kitchen, retail, delivery, and other operational teams.
Staff and Deliveries
- Prepare staff schedules, allocate responsibilities, monitor attendance and performance, and maintain peak-period staffing.
- Plan driver schedules and delivery routes, prioritize orders, and resolve delivery-related issues.
Quality and Cost Control
- Monitor product quality, freshness, presentation, portioning, and packaging.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and consistent operational standards.
- Monitor inventory, purchasing, production quantities, food costs, and wastage.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of operations experience, including at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Bakery, pastry, café, restaurant, catering, or similar F&B experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of food production, inventory management, cost control, food safety, hygiene, and F&B operations.
- Strong leadership, team-management, communication, problem-solving, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
- UAE experience and a valid UAE driving license are preferred.
