Job Purpose

  • Manage overall operational activities to ensure efficient, safe, and cost effective execution of production, maintenance, quality, supply chain coordination, and resource utilization in line with business objectives, customer requirements, and company standards.

Key Accountability Areas Operations Management

  • Manage day to day operational activities to ensure smooth workflow across production, maintenance, quality, and related support functions.
  • Ensure operational plans are executed in line with approved schedules, targets, and business priorities.
  • Monitor operational performance and address issues affecting productivity, delivery, quality, cost, or safety.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment between operations and business requirements.

Production & Delivery Performance

  • Follow up on production progress to ensure output targets and delivery timelines are achieved.
  • Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and operational capacity.
  • Support the resolution of operational bottlenecks, delays, and resource constraints.
  • Monitor performance indicators related to productivity, efficiency, downtime, quality, safety, and cost.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure operations comply with quality standards, safety requirements, company procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure proper implementation of health and safety practices.
  • Follow up on quality issues, non conformities, and corrective actions with concerned teams.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, workplace discipline, and 5S practices across operational areas.

Resource & Cost Management

  • Manage operational resources to achieve optimal utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor operational costs and support initiatives to reduce waste, rework, downtime, and unnecessary expenses.
  • Support budget planning and ensure operational activities are managed within approved targets.
  • Recommend actions to improve resource planning, manpower allocation, and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, workflow, productivity, and service levels.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve operational reliability.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and best practices across operations.

Team Management & Reporting

  • Manage and guide operations teams to ensure effective performance and accountability.
  • Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support team development.
  • Prepare operational reports, performance updates, and improvement recommendations for management.
  • Communicate operational priorities, challenges, and progress to relevant stakeholders.

Role Accountability

  • Ability to recruit, recognize and cultivate high performers.
  • Ability to recognize low performers and guide them to improve or release them.
  • Ability to treat subordinates equally without any discrimination.
  • Must take full responsibility for his operation as per the job description.
  • Able to anticipate problems and make the necessary proactive steps to prevent them.
  • Ability to take necessary and proper timely decisions.
  • Deliver the required results in timely manner with required quality and cost.
  • Able to transform the corporate goals into business plans.
  • Develop the organizational structure according to the current requirements.
