The role performs and reviews structural design and analysis for offshore structures.
The position supports EPC/EPCM oil and gas projects and requires at least five years of offshore structural experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-place, lift, load-out, transportation, dynamic, blast, and fatigue analyses.
- Ensure technical integrity and quality of engineering deliverables.
- Manage schedules, man-hours, and cost control.
- Review contract documents and raise technical queries.
- Coordinate interfaces with clients, vendors, fabrication yards, classification societies, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Review 3D models and drawings using Navisworks or similar tools.
- Prepare and review MTOs, BOQ/BOMs, and Weight Control Reports.
- Support class approvals and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
- The role requires 5–10 years of experience in EPC/EPCM oil and gas projects.
- At least five years of offshore structural experience is required.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Mandatory tools are SACS, STAAD.Pro, and Navisworks or similar 3D model review software.
- Required analysis knowledge includes offshore load cases, strength, serviceability, buckling, fatigue, and dynamic behavior.
- Required standards include AISC, API RP2A, DNV, NORSOK, ISO, and Eurocodes.
- Experience with fabrication and constructability, technical coordination, and quality-focused delivery is required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ANSYS, ABAQUS, IdeaStatica, TEKLA, E3D, or S3D is preferred.
- Experience with FEED and conceptual studies is preferred.
