Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Delivery/Labour Room to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality patient care
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development and evidence based practice
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention and control standards, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and oversee the care of women during labour, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
- Monitor staffing levels, prepare duty rosters, and allocate resources to ensure appropriate coverage and efficient workflow
- Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, anaesthetists, midwives/nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Oversee patient admission, transfer, discharge, and emergency response processes within the unit
- Monitor clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and professional standards
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, incident reporting, and risk management activities
- Ensure the availability, proper maintenance, and safe use of medical equipment, medications, and supplies
- Participate in recruitment, orientation, competency assessments, performance evaluations, and ongoing education of nursing staff
- Promote patient and family education, ensuring respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care
Requirements
- Nursing Degree (preferably MSc)
- Valid nursing license
- Minimum 10 yrs experience in clinical care and Managerial roles within Nursing Administration

Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Nursing Unit Head – Delivery/Labour Room to lead our maternity nursing team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Delivery/Labour Room, ensuring the provision of safe, high quality, evidence based, and patient centered care for mothers and newborns.

- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff, promoting professional development and evidence based practice.
