Summary of Role

Responsibilities

• Complete collection and delivery activities in line with agreed schedules and service requirements.
• Verify shipment information and obtain required proof of delivery documentation.
• Safely transport materials, products, and medical samples in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure temperature-controlled shipments are handled appropriately where required.
• Communicate delivery progress, delays, and shipment exceptions to relevant teams.
• Assist with loading, unloading, packaging, and labelling activities to maintain shipment integrity.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Support specialised transport services, including transfer-point, airport, hand-to-hand, and adjusted schedule assignments.

Skills and Knowledge

• Full UK driving licence with a clean or acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience in a driving, courier, or logistics environment.
• Good understanding of transport documentation and delivery procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards within a transport environment.
• Basic IT skills for maintaining records and completing operational updates.
