- Lead cardiovascular metabolic medical affairs activities in Kuwait
- Communicate sophisticated technical information and research concepts to healthcare decision makers
- Identify and train members of Amgen's speaker bureau
- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers
- Consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs to internal stakeholders
- Develop, implement and supervise the implementation of OL's scientific engagement plans
- Act as a resource, liaison and facilitator for Investigator sponsored trials
- Coordinate with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations in providing field support for research studies
- Represent company at Medical Education events, programs, meetings, congresses
Requirements
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Clinical Development / Medical Affairs / Clinical operations / Commercial operations)
- Proven experience as medical science liaison in pharmaceutical/biotech industry or in the Therapeutic Area
- Experience in Cardiometabolic
- Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g. MD, PhD)
- Advanced knowledge in Medical Education and Qualitative/Quantitative Research standards and reporting
- Moderate to advanced knowledge in Medical Writing
- Digital proficiency
- Proficient in English and local languages
- Meeting visa requirements to work in Kuwait

- You will serve as the primary interface and field based guide in Kuwait, collaborating with external medical collaborators to ensure data dissemination and generation across the Upper Gulf, in close partnership with other field based Amgen functions.
What You Will Do
- Interact regularly with healthcare decision makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform, as aligned with Amgen’s company goals and objectives
- Lead cardiovascular metabolic medical affairs activities in Kuwait along defined local Medical Brand strategies
- Communicate sophisticated innovative technical information and research concepts to healthcare decision makers
- Identify and train members of Amgen’s speaker bureau and ensure they are updated on new data
- Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers
- Consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs identified in the field to internal stakeholders
- Positively impact external perceptions and knowledge regarding company and company products
- Maintain and demonstrate comprehensive and in depth scientific TA Related knowledge when implementing assigned tactics
- Ensure operational excellence by sharing best practices, takeaways including entrepreneurial and innovative ideas
- Develop, implement and supervise the implementation of OL's scientific engagement plans
- Act as a resource, liaison and facilitator for Investigator sponsored trials and investigators, and support Amgen sponsored research
- Coordinate with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations in providing field support for research studies and assist in the selection of clinical study sites
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Clinical Development / Medical Affairs/Clinical operations/Commercial operations)
- Proven experience as medical sciences liaison pharmaceutical/biotech industry or in the Therapeutic Area
- Experience in Cardiometabolic. Preferred experience with OLs of the following specialties: Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology
- Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g. MD, PhD) that provides knowledge of theories, principles and concepts within a relevant field
- Advanced knowledge in Medical Education and Qualitative/Quantitative Research standards and reporting
- Moderate to advanced knowledge in Medical Writing
- Digital proficiency
- Proficient in English and local languages
- Meeting visa requirements to work in Kuwait
Preferred Qualifications
- Scientific expertise in the previously mentioned therapeutic area, related products, disease state, and interested in latest discoveries
- Has solid understanding of their country’s local health care system and decision making, stays on top of changes
- Demonstrates strong project management
- Strong presentation skills (presential and virtually)
- Advanced knowledge in Biostatistics and Epidemiology
- Knowledge of regulatory, drug safety and clinical drug development
