Responsibilities
- Review patient medical records and clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate ICD 10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments
- Ensure accurate coding for insurance claims and reimbursement
- Verify documentation supports assigned medical codes
- Submit coded records within required timelines while maintaining high accuracy
- Communicate with doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff to clarify documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with UAE healthcare regulations
- Identify and correct coding errors to reduce claim denials
- Stay updated with coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and insurance policies
- Prepare coding reports and assist in medical record audits when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant healthcare field
- Certified Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, CCA, or equivalent) preferred
- Knowledge of ICD 10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience in medical coding preferred; freshers with certification may apply
- Good computer skills and familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS/EMR)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication skills in English; Hindi speaking preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
