Role Overview
Support safe and reliable operation of a large-scale water treatment and desalination facility.
Focus on mechanical maintenance of RO systems, pumps, valves, rotating equipment, and associated plant machinery.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul pumps, motors, valves, gearboxes, compressors, and piping systems.
- Perform equipment alignment, lubrication, and condition monitoring.
RO Plant Equipment
- Maintain high-pressure pumps, booster pumps, pressure vessels, RO skids and membranes, filters and strainers.
- Maintain chemical dosing systems, valves and actuators, heat exchangers, cranes, and lifting equipment.
Operations and Safety
- Participate in commissioning, startup, and shutdown activities.
- Assist with root-cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Complete maintenance reports and update CMMS work orders.
- Coordinate with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Follow permit-to-work procedures and HSE requirements.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and plant call-outs when required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Maintenance.
- Three to five years or more of experience in desalination, water treatment, power plants, oil and gas, or industrial facilities.
- Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in industrial environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with RO desalination systems is preferred.
