About the Role
James L Williams Middle East seeks a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to support delivery of complex Data Centre projects across the UAE. The role coordinates mechanical engineering and site execution activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage mechanical engineering and site execution activities in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Assist the Project Manager in delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Review technical submittals, material submittals, shop drawings, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance
- Coordinate closely with Engineering Department, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues
- Prepare and implement method statements, quality procedures, and technical documentation
- Monitor project progress and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to maintain schedules
- Review consultant comments and coordinate timely resubmissions of technical documents and shop drawings
- Participate in client, consultant, contractor, and authority meetings as directed
- Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, quality standards, and local authority regulations
- Manage RFIs, technical clarifications, and engineering changes while assessing impact on cost and schedule
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, QA/QC, and construction teams for efficient project execution
- Support variation management, change control processes, and project reporting activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP and construction projects
- Experience working on Mission Critical, Commercial, or Large Scale Data Centre projects is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems installation, engineering coordination, testing & commissioning support, and project execution
- Proven experience in reviewing technical submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and material approvals
- Good understanding of applicable construction standards, authority regulations, and project specifications
- Strong planning, coordination, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team coordination abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced project environment and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
