Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 15 years of Oil & Gas experience, including 10 or more years in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer.
- Strong FEED and EPIC project experience, including review and approval of contractor deliverables.
- Proven pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up experience for mechanical static and piping systems and packaged equipment.
- Experience with FAT, SAT, completions management systems, and offshore projects.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards including ASME, API, and ISO.
- Experience with risk assessments, system handover, and troubleshooting.
- Strong leadership, communication, contractor supervision, and operations coordination capabilities.
- Good knowledge of HSE, quality, and project execution practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical commissioning activities under the Head of Commissioning for safe and efficient commissioning, start-up, and handover delivery.
- Review engineering deliverables and participate in design reviews, FATs, and readiness workshops.
- Plan and execute mechanical completion, systemization, and commissioning packages.
- Oversee inspections, flushing, cleaning, leak testing, hydrotesting, and reinstatement activities.
- Verify P&IDs, ISOs, LoSH, and system handover documentation.
- Manage DFPV activities, inerting, preservation, and system readiness.
- Supervise contractors, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues.
- Conduct line walks, system handovers, integration checks, and performance testing.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure SIMOPS compliance.
- Manage punch lists, handover, and close-out activities.
- Ensure HSE compliance and participate in safety studies including HAZOP and ENVID.
- Support team development and training.
