Responsibilities
- Study and analyze information about installation, repair and maintenance work; design and prepare specifications, drawings and technical data for scheduled preventive maintenance operations.
- Assist in preparing scope of work, including specifications and drawings for preventive maintenance projects related to mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate on site implementation of maintenance/improvement/expansion projects, including assisting contractors and conducting installation, connection, configuration and running tests.
- Attend start up, testing and commissioning of onshore mechanical equipment and report to supervisor on acceptability.
- Associate with corrosion monitoring and protection programme; coordinate and assist inspections, surveys and work assessments of facilities.
- Analyze equipment threats and hazards and ensure implementation of standard operating procedures to maintain equipment integrity and safety.
- Evaluate technical bids/proposals and review specifications and drawings submitted by contractors.
- Monitor and inspect contractors' work during overhaul maintenance activities to ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Identify material/equipment required for maintenance activities and coordinate timely availability.
- Prepare section reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- English language proficiency at KJO L4 – Intermediate

Job Purpose
- To inspect, analyze, advise and coordinate preventive maintenance and overhaul work for static mechanical equipments and systems across KJO production facilities in compliance with annual maintenance plans ensuring reliability, integrity, uninterrupted operations and sustenance of high productivity
Main Responsibilities
- Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures.
- Applies day to day operations for Onshore Facilities & Tank Maintenance section.
- Studies and analyzes information about installation, repair and maintenance work; designs and prepares specifications, drawing & technical data for scheduled preventive maintenance operations.
- Assists Supervisor in preparing scope of work, including specifications, drawings and other electronic parts of tender documents for preventive maintenance projects.
- Coordinates on site implementation of maintenance/improvement/expansion projects, including assisting contractors and carrying out actual installation, connection, configuration and running tests.
- Attends start up, testing and commissioning of onshore mechanical equipment and reports to supervisor.
- Closely associates with corrosion monitoring and protection programme; coordinates and assists inspections, surveys & work assessments.
- Analyzes equipment threats and hazards and ensures implementation of standard operating procedures.
- Evaluates technical bids/proposals as directed by Supervisor.
- Monitors and inspects contractors' work during overhaul maintenance activities.
- Reviews, checks and compiles daily work reports prepared by contractors.
- Identifies material/equipment required for maintenance activities and coordinates timely availability.
Qualifications, Experience & Language Skills
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Minimum English language required is KJO L4 – Intermediate
Communications & Working Relationships
- Internal: Communicates with Section Supervisor, coordinates with other engineers and departments.
- External: Regular coordination with Contractors, Service providers, External Inspectors and Auditors.
