Role Overview

Technical Governance and Reliability

• Establishes mechanical engineering standards aligned with OEM, class, flag-state, and regulatory requirements.
• Approves mechanical maintenance procedures, job plans, and work scopes under asset-management governance.
• Monitors mechanical integrity standards across rigs and escalates significant deviations.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting for rotating equipment, engines, pumps, cranes, and hydraulic systems.
• Guides rig teams through root-cause analysis and validates recovery plans for high-impact downtime events.

Maintenance Planning and Integrity

• Reviews preventive-maintenance strategies, task lists, and intervals using risk, performance history, and OEM requirements.
• Validates CMMS job plans, bills of materials, and planned-maintenance workflows.
• Ensures maintenance execution meets safety-critical requirements and equipment performance standards.
• Conducts integrity audits for pressure systems, lifting equipment, rotating machinery, and hydraulic components.
• Verifies certification currency and compliance with class, flag-state, API, and regulatory inspection requirements.
