Role Overview
Provide specialized mechanical engineering expertise across the fleet.
Strengthen troubleshooting, integrity assurance, and lifecycle performance of mechanical systems.
Support safe, compliant, and reliable operations.
Mechanical Governance and Standards
- Establish and maintain standards aligned with OEM, class, flag state, and regulatory requirements.
- Approve mechanical maintenance procedures, job plans, and work scopes.
- Monitor adherence to mechanical integrity standards across all rigs and escalate significant deviations.
Equipment Reliability and Troubleshooting
- Lead advanced diagnostics for rotating equipment, engines, pumps, cranes, and hydraulic systems.
- Guide rig-based teams in root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner with Technical Superintendents on high-impact downtime events and recovery plans.
Maintenance Strategy and Execution
- Review preventive-maintenance strategies, task lists, and intervals using risk, performance history, and OEM requirements.
