Job Description
Provide expert electrical engineering guidance, advanced fault diagnostics, and technical assurance across fleet power generation, distribution, and control systems.
Ensure electrical safety, regulatory compliance, system reliability, and uninterrupted operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience with electrical systems, power generation, power-system protection, MCCs, transformers, drilling traction motors, AC/DC drives, and drilling-rig installations.
- OEM training on relevant electrical systems is required.
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is preferred but not essential.
Minimum Experience
- 7–10 years of electrical engineering experience on jack-up or land drilling rigs.
- Strong exposure to power generation, switchboards, MCCs, VFDs, UPS systems, and EX equipment.
- Experience with electrical safety audits, protection systems, fault diagnosis, and power-system reliability.
Job-Specific Skills
- Advanced troubleshooting of AC/DC systems, generators, switchboards, relays, VFDs, UPS systems, and distribution networks.
- Strong knowledge of EX compliance, grounding, load management, and IEC/IEEE safety standards.
