Responsibilities
- Upholster, reupholster, and restore sofas, chairs, and other furniture pieces to a high standard of quality
- Cut, sew, and fit fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials with precision
- Repair and replace springs, padding, webbing, and frames as required
- Assess and advise on fabric selection, material quality, and design finishing
- Collaborate with the design and operations team to meet client specifications and timelines
- Ensure all finished work meets company quality standards before delivery
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Manage and care for tools and equipment properly
- Support junior staff and apprentices where applicable
Requirements
- 2 3 years of hands on experience in sofa and furniture upholstery
- Certified professional in upholstery preferred (trade certification or vocational qualification)
- Demonstrated portfolio or evidence of previous upholstery work is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, materials, and tools
- Proficiency in working with a variety of fabrics including leather, velvet, linen, and synthetic materials
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications and client briefs
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity for workshop tasks
- Must be available to join immediately

Job Overview
