Manufacturing Manager

Main Scope

Management and Operations

• Assign jobs, set priorities, and oversee the department’s daily workflow.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and train departmental staff.
• Provide performance evaluations and manage employee discipline and termination according to company policy.
• Collaborate with department managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
• Analyze manufacturing operations to identify inefficiencies.
• Assess process cost effectiveness and implement recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Manufacturing Engineering and Lean

• Supervise tooling operations in accordance with quality and safety standards.
• Guide plant renovations and expansions and coordinate outside contractors and vendors.
• Lead Lean manufacturing practices including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and value-stream mapping.
• Improve manufacturing routing times for HVAC product models.

Equipment and Technical Support

• Approve the purchase, installation, and commissioning of new equipment for the assigned plant area.
• Approve machine tools and parts designs and drawings and improve tooling design procedures.
• Provide technical support for specific plant operations.
• Prepare and implement the departmental budget.

Education and Experience

• Degree in Production, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in HVAC manufacturing or a related industry.
• Thorough understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering, and tooling.
• Knowledge of engineering science and technology applied to product design and production.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and planning and organization skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, supervisory, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for budgets and records.
• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Arabic is advantageous.
