Job Purpose
- Manage the Factoring and Supply Chain portfolio on both client and debtor relationships.
- De risking the portfolio through obtaining credit guarantees from government agencies like EDB or Khalifa Funds etc.
- Be responsible for periodic reporting of portfolio data to such credit guarantee providers.
- Proactively identify market/client requirements and opportunities in relation to Factoring and Supply Chain Finance product and facilities and contribute to product development process in unison with Product managers.
- Drive credit insurance backed facility structures.
- Have in-depth knowledge of various credit insurance products viz. whole turnover policies, single risk obligor policies, documentary credit insurance policy etc.
- Manage the assigned and own credit insurance policies from the perspective of timely reporting to the underwriters of overdue, turnover, claim submission and premium payment, if applicable.
- Independently conduct client physical and desktop surveys (for various supply chain products offered by the bank for CIB's potential & existing clients) as per laid down processes.
- Ensure that risk associated with 'Supply Chain Finance' products are clearly identified and documented in survey report with proper recommendations and mitigations.
- Conduct debtor due diligence as per laid down process and recommend per party limits in adherence to overall credit policy.
- Generate relevant monitoring information classified as heightened risk, as part of regular monitoring.
- Make reasoned recommendations on structure and controls of Invoice/PDC discounting and Supply Chain Finance facilities after analyzing the credit management processes, controls and collection system to ensure that risk to reward ratios are acceptable.
- Have knowledge of Factoring and Supply Chain Finance IT systems and assist in implementation, testing etc.
- Support the manager in transactions related to Structured LC products to generate liabilities.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure client survey is undertaken at the earliest and turnaround times are as per SLA or better.
- Ensure product/proposal related risks are clearly identified and documented and recommendations made with suitable mitigations.
- Manage external surveyors and streamline processes to improve quality of report and TAT.
- Provide Industry research reports and peer group analysis.
- Develop management information tools (other than usual system generated reports) wherever necessary and give feedback to management about the marketing results of products.
- Make observations / recommendations about those results and ways to improve market share.
- Recommend implementation to commercial units.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities consistent with the role as assigned by management including but not limited to conducting training sessions for various stakeholders within the bank on Supply Chain Products and strategy and ensuring proper housekeeping of records and documents.
Experience And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Commerce
- 3- 5 years of experience in corporate survey/audit and knowledge of banking products and processes
- Minimum of 4 years local market experience
- Understanding of SCF systems
- Understanding of Trade Credit Insurance
