The Manager – Security Operations is responsible for planning, leading, and governing security operations across Nishan’s operational environments, ensuring effective protection of people, assets, infrastructure, and operations in line with AD Ports Group requirements.
The role provides operational command and control, ensures implementation of Security Plans, Security Assessments, SOPs, post orders, and Group Security Action Plans, security assessments, and oversees incident response, reporting, drills, audits, and corrective actions.
The Manager ensures security operations are consistent, compliant, responsive, and continuously improved across all clusters and sites.
Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and coordinate security operations across all assigned sites and clusters, ensuring alignment with AD Ports Group and Nishan security requirements.
Ensure 24/7 operational readiness and coverage, including shift‑based supervision, escalation, and continuity of operations.
Develop, review, approve, and implement Security Plans, Security Assessments, SOPs, and post orders applicable to all operational environments.
Oversee incident response and escalation, ensuring incidents are managed effectively and reported within defined timeframes via IC&CC and approved channels.
Ensure accurate incident reporting, investigation support, and corrective action tracking until formal closure.
Oversee and support Supervisors – Security Operations in coordinating daily operations, shift activities, and site‑level compliance.
Ensure Group Security Action Plans are implemented within areas of responsibility and that progress and closure are monitored and reported.
Lead and oversee security drills and exercises, ensuring planning, execution, evaluation, and follow‑up actions are completed.
Ensure toolbox talks & security awareness sessions are delivered to contracted security personnel and that post orders are current, communicated, and enforced.
Chair or participate in security operations meetings, providing operational updates, risks, performance insights, and action‑status reports.
Lead and participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and reviews, ensuring timely close‑out of observations and corrective actions.
Coordinate with IC&CC, Operational Control, Security Permits, Inspection & Enforcement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated security operations.
Ensure security operations comply with PSBD / NSI regulations, ISPS Code, and applicable national and group security requirements as applicable.
Maintain effective coordination with emergency responders and relevant authorities during incidents and drills.
Monitor operational performance, identify risks or gaps, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure confidentiality, integrity, and proper handling of all security‑related information.
People Management Responsibilities
Provide direct leadership and performance management to Supervisors and Officers under command.
Approve duty rosters, leave plans, and manpower deployment to ensure operational coverage.
Coach, guide, and support supervisors in operational decision‑making and compliance.
Identify training needs and coordinate with Security Training functions to address capability gaps.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Translate Group and Nishan security strategy into operational execution across all sites.
- Contribute operational insights to security governance, assurance, and performance reviews.
- Support continuous improvement of security operations through lessons learned, audits, drills, and incident trends.
- Qualifications: Educational and Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- ISPS knowledge & national security requirements
Language Skills
Excellent in Arabic (Speak, Read and write)
Excellent in English (Speak, Read and write)
Years of Experience:
Minium of 8-10 Years of Experience within the same or Similar role .
Nature of Experience:
Experience managing multiple scopes of security operations.
Experience in 24/7 operational environments, incident response, and audits.
Strong knowledge of security operations, planning, assessment, emergency response and incident management.
