Role Overview
Manager – Pre-construction Management coordinating preconstruction activities across assigned projects.
The role works with Engineering, Project Management, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, Legal, consultants, and contractors to prepare projects for execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage day-to-day preconstruction activities and maintain schedules and milestone plans.
- Coordinate design, engineering, procurement, commercial, and delivery teams.
- Monitor project readiness and identify potential gaps.
- Support procurement strategy and planning.
- Prepare PQQs, RFPs, ITTs, tender packages, and bid documents.
- Manage bidder queries, clarifications, site visits, and communications.
- Coordinate technical and commercial tender evaluations and maintain procurement trackers.
- Manage prequalification of contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Review contractor methodologies, programmes, staffing, and resources.
- Compare proposals and prepare evaluation reports and recommendations.
- Maintain risk registers, develop mitigation actions, track risk closure, and escalate critical issues.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
