Role overview
The employer is seeking a Manager - Design Mechanical to plan, manage, and deliver activities across multiple international data center projects.
The role oversees a multidisciplinary design team, sets design standards, leads technical delivery, and supports commercial and client activities.
Key accountabilities
- Evaluate plots for global data centers and prepare site visit reports covering infrastructure requirements.
- Coordinate technical approvals with government and local authorities.
- Lead project meetings, provide technical direction, and resolve conflicts between contractors and consultants.
- Develop concept designs, equipment sizing, and supporting calculations.
- Act as the key technical client contact and lead technical discussions.
- Support RFP and bid processes through technical questionnaires and contractor frameworks.
- Guide design quality, performance, delivery, and code compliance.
- Review engineering calculations, equipment specifications, system layouts, drawings, specifications, and site works against international standards.
- Supervise and develop junior engineers while supporting day-to-day technical decisions.
- Monitor budgets, verify consultant and contractor invoices, and report financial variances.
