Manager Planning - Aircraft Maintenance

Job Description

Accountabilities

• Develop and operate maintenance planning procedures aligned with national airworthiness regulations and the agreed KPI dashboard.
• Establish internal procedures and interfaces that support department objectives and other departments.
• Deliver annual maintenance cost budgets.
• Review workforce performance using Etihad appraisal systems and support improved performance.
• Interface with internal and external departments on Maintenance Planning matters.
• Coordinate with network scheduling on the creation of maintenance slots.
• Represent the Planning department at meetings and follow up on actions.
• Manage the lifecycle of maintenance projects, including pre-input and wash-up meetings for planned maintenance events.
• Investigate and remedy quality lapses under company procedures.
• Monitor technical records through audits to comply with CAMO regulations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head or Senior Manager of Maintenance Planning.

Qualifications

• Hold a technical academic degree or HND in aeronautical engineering, or an ICAO type I or type II license.
• Have a minimum of seven years of operational experience in a maintenance planning environment.
• Have management or supervisory experience and proven MRO or aviation-related operational experience.
• Have current knowledge of applicable airworthiness and health and safety legislation.
• Demonstrate innovation, continuous improvement leadership, and a record of delivering results.
• Have strong planning, operational, crisis management, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to develop performance enhancement frameworks and effectively manage and motivate a team.
