Overview

  • Drive business performance throughout the organization through development of forecasting and analytic capabilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Own, develop and lead the role to create financial models for international projects and investments
  • Coordinate for all inputs required to prepare the financial model with respective workstreams
  • Provide cross functional support in clarifying, validating and understanding implications of assumptions on business/financial model
  • Prepare 'business plan' slides in coordination with cross functional teams that would then be submitted to the Investment Committee for approval
  • Develop process templates to establish and ascertain evaluation criteria for every project in the pipeline
  • Support Senior Management team with matters related to investment evaluation
  • Support fund raising and investment structure
  • Own, lead and or support the submission of the investment proposals to the Investment Committee and its approval
  • Manage audit trail at a project level

People Management Responsibilities

  • Responsible for obtaining all information required for developing the business case and finance model from all functions and external consultants
  • Required to lead without authority across functions and Clusters
  • May need to provide training to extended International Office team as per job requirements/changes

Educational and Technical Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant/ Engineer with MBA (Finance)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with financial modelling, analytics, and data visualization methodologies and tools
  • Display an agile mindset to accommodate a dynamic environment
  • Ability to partner with all cross functional teams like Commercial, Finance, HR, Operations, etc.
  • Excellent command of English languages. Arabic and French are a plus.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the port, logistics, and maritime industries preferably with global ports and maritime companies
  • Minimum of 3 Years in Ports and Marine business in business development/ planning/ strategy
  • Prior experience in building financial models a must
  • Highly proficient in Excel/advance formulas Deep financial modeling and datamining expertise; proficient in PowerPoint.
  • Work in a dynamic environment with a focus on being agile to meet the growing and changing needs of stakeholders across the organization.
  • A creative problem solver, accurate the high level of attention to details.
