Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with SOP’s across all cargo operations.
- Managing and facilitating all investigations of accidents, incidents, service failures, etc. Looking at root cause identification, looking at corrective and preventative actions.
- Overseeing day to day cargo operations, ensuring consistent handling standards, service quality etc.
- Liaising with service providers to ensure service delivery, SLA compliance and operational readiness of all aircraft types.
- Liaising with government authorities such as customs, health, police and other regulators to ensure smooth movement of cargo, courier and mail, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in cargo operations, freight handling, aviation ground operations and the ability to manage a large operational team.
- Certifications should include Advanced Cargo & Dangerous Goods courses (cargo knowledge, Special Load Handling, DRG Cat 6 or CBTA equiv) Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA, CBTA 7.3A or UAE GCAA 4.1D).
- Safety Management Systems certification.
- Aviation security Certification.
- Special Cargo Products Certification.
