Role overview
Qatar Airways is hiring a Manager Cargo Network Operation for its Cargo Operations department in Doha, Qatar.
The role leads cargo and freighter operations across Asia, ISC, Africa, and Middle Eastern regions.
The position oversees network operations, ground handling providers, service standards, and operational performance.
Strategic responsibilities
- Define and implement systems and procedures for cargo operational staff across the network.
- Coordinate reporting mechanisms, maintain current outstation information, and apply corrective actions.
- Plan future operational changes and develop new working practices.
- Open new freighter stations and complete groundwork for safe commercial operations.
Operational responsibilities
- Manage outstation cargo activities, including cargo build-up and flight optimization.
- Ensure quality checks are completed for cargo before loading on Qatar Airways freighter aircraft.
- Ensure inspections cover the loading and securing of onboard cargo.
- Coordinate with ground handlers, internal departments, customs, and government authorities.
- Conduct station visits and performance reviews with ground handling agents.
