About the Role
- Lead planning, development, and delivery of strategic business and infrastructure initiatives.
- Responsible for business case development, feasibility assessments, capital investment planning, project governance.
Strategic
- Support identification, assessment, development, and implementation of new business opportunities.
- Develop strategic and tactical infrastructure development plans.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver business and infrastructure development plan.
- Manage risks identified by Cargo Leadership team.
Operational
- Conduct market, operational, and feasibility assessments.
- Develop business cases, financial assessments, implementation plans.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define operational, infrastructure, technology, regulatory, and resource requirements.
- Lead assigned workstreams for implementation of approved initiatives.
- Support development of operating models, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Monitor implementation progress, benefits realization, and service performance.
- Plan, execute and monitor delivery and closure of assigned projects.
- Oversee quality control throughout project life cycles.
- Provide structured project documentation and progress reports.
- Manage business and infrastructure development resources.
- Collaborate with ORAT project team for trial and training requirements.
- Ensure designs are based on LEAN/Six Sigma principles.
About you
- High School Qualification with minimum 9 years of job related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years.
- Experience within project management field, managing large scope projects.
- Strong command over English language.
- Excellent listening, perceiving and understanding skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure to define tight timescales and budget.
- Managerial skills: ability to delegate, set clear direction, manage workflow.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Ability to foster teamwork.
- A change agent, results oriented.
- Must possess a strong, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodology.
- Relevant courses in aviation, Cargo and Freight operations, warehousing with material handling systems.
- Experience in large infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to demonstrate flexibility.
- Proven ability for solution oriented communication.
- Proven ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
