Role Overview

Senior technical and business consulting role supporting a Health Information Exchange project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The consultant advises on NPHIES initiatives, healthcare interoperability, technical architecture, data structures, business requirements, and operational alignment.

The role combines business acumen with technical expertise across healthcare systems, payer-provider workflows, and digital transformation.

Contract

  • Four-month fixed-term contract with possible extension through the end of 2027.

Location and Work Arrangement

  • Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; onsite.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in HealthTech.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems, including HIE, HIS, and payer-provider platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of FHIR, HL7, healthcare interoperability, solution architecture, system integration, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Cycle and Payors is required.
  • Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, project management, and delivery oversight.
  • Fluent English and mandatory Arabic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on FHIR, HL7, NPHIES, healthcare interoperability, Saudi healthcare regulations, and digital health trends.
  • Assess client needs, conduct gap analyses, and recommend solutions for interoperability, data exchange, and financial workflows.
  • Design and review FHIR-based architectures and integration strategies for HIS, HIE, payer, and provider platforms.
  • Improve healthcare operations, data quality, automation, and financial health services focused on Revenue Cycle and Payors.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, QA, and delivery teams on solution reviews, testing, validation, and releases.
  • Provide NPHIES subject matter expertise, training, documentation, workshops, and knowledge transfer.

Technical Skills

  • Software development experience with .NET, Java, backend or frontend technologies, SQL, APIs, cloud solutions, and microservices is described.
  • Familiarity with NPHIES standards and operational models is a significant advantage.
