Overview

  • This is a developmental role designed to provide comprehensive exposure to hotel finance operations. Through a structured training program, the trainee will rotate across key finance functions, gaining hands on experience in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, income auditing, cost
  • Working closely with the Finance leadership team, the trainee will develop technical, analytical, and leadership skills to prepare for future supervisory and management roles within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured rotations across the Finance department, including General Cashiering, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Cost Control, General Ledger, and Financial Planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and month end closing activities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Learn and apply internal controls, financial compliance requirements, and audit procedures.
  • Collaborate with operational departments to understand the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Participate in training sessions, development programs, and assigned projects to enhance technical and leadership capabilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
  • Complete assigned learning objectives and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance department.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.

Competencies

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop a career in hospitality finance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SunSystems, Oracle, SAP) or hotel finance systems is an advantage but not required.
