About the Role
Airswift is seeking a Machinery Control Engineering Specialist for a long-term contract with a major Oil & Gas operator in Qatar. The role involves providing machinery control engineering support including design reviews, commissioning, troubleshooting, and tuning of GE, CCC, DCS, and DLN systems.

Responsibilities
- Execute machinery control engineering supports including design reviews, studies, commissioning, start up, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting
- Review, validate and support development of advanced machinery control schemes for machines and drivers
- Review and develop testing procedures like surge tests, DLN tuning, Machine Test Runs and performance tuning
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests and review performance test results of machines
- Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks and activities
- Provide technical inputs related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions
- Control and supervise activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers
- Guide less experienced engineers in implementing company integrity and reliability systems
- Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks
- Support high risk commissioning activities for high complexities & large scale projects
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science major in Engineering in the area of specialization
- 8 years’ experience in the area of specialization within Oil and Gas industry
- Expert level knowledge in machinery control systems and schemes such as GE, CCC, DCS and DLN tuning

Job Overview

- We are working with a Major Oil & Gas operator to source a Machinery Control Engineering Specialist.
- This is a long term contract role based in Qatar Onshore (Ras Laffan/Doha HQ).
Key Job Accountabilities
- Execute machinery control engineering supports (GE, CCC, DCS, DLN tuning) including design reviews, studies, commissioning, start up, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
- Review, validate and support development of advanced machinery control schemes for machines and drivers (Gas turbine, Steam turbine, VFD).
- Review and develop testing procedures like surge tests, DLN tuning, Machine Test Runs and performance tuning.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests and review performance test results.
- Develop plans and work schedules to ensure effective completion of tasks.
- Provide technical inputs related to area of expertise to other disciplines.

Qualifications
