The Opportunity
Cleanaway Health Services is Australia's leading provider of medical waste solutions, helping to create a safer and more sustainable future for the healthcare sector.
We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead our transport operations based in Yatala . Reporting into the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing driver operations, transport administration, fleet performance, safety compliance, service delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive operational excellence, optimise fleet utilisation, and build a high-performing team while ensuring compliance with regulatory and fatigue management requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and optimise daily transport operations, including fleet scheduling, routing, and driver performance.
- Ensure compliance with all transport, safety, fatigue management, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive fleet utilisation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve service and reduce costs.
- Manage transport budgets, KPIs, and performance outcomes across safety, service, productivity, and profitability.
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, capability, and continuous success.
About You
Proven experience leading transport, logistics, fleet, or distribution operations in a supervisory or management capacity.
Strong knowledge of transport compliance, safety legislation, and fatigue management requirements.
Demonstrated ability to improve operational performance, manage costs, and optimise fleet utilisation.
A people-first leader with a track record of coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
