About the Opportunity

Based at our Dubbo branch on Wiradjuri Country, you'll join a supportive team and learn how to safely operate rear lift collection vehicles servicing customers through the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS).

Working alongside experienced drivers and operational leaders, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while building a long-term career with Australia's leading waste management and resource recovery company.

Container Deposit Scheme (CDS)

What You'll Be Doing

Learning to safely operate a rear lift collection vehicle

Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks

Collecting recyclable containers from collection locations

Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Performing manual handling activities throughout your shift

Delivering excellent customer service

Following safe work procedures and operational processes

Developing skills through structured training and mentoring

What We're Looking For

You don't need truck driving experience.

We're looking for people who can demonstrate:

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Reliability and strong attendance

Good communication skills

A strong safety mindset

A hands-on approach to work

Ability to work independently

Physical capability to perform operational duties

Interest in developing a long-term career

Minimum Requirements

  • To be successful, you'll need:
  • A current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
  • Have a minimum of 8 demerit points available on licence
  • Commitment to obtaining a Heavy Rigid Licence
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Willingness to complete drug and alcohol testing
  • Ability to work early morning starts
  • Comfort working outdoors and undertaking physical tasks
  • Commitment to completing the Driver Academy program

Pay & Benefits

  • Fulltime for the 5 weeks of training then Casual ongoing
  • Hourly rate from $34.27 per hour
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Penalty rates where applicable
  • Annual wage increases under the Enterprise Agreement
