Dispatch Operations
- Manage daily dispatch operations from the Central Production Unit.
- Prepare and monitor dispatch schedules based on branch and business requirements.
- Ensure products are packed, labelled, checked, and ready for dispatch.
- Coordinate with Production and Kitchen teams to ensure products are available as scheduled.
- Ensure timely vehicle loading and departure, monitor delivery completion, and address delays.
Logistics and Transportation
- Plan delivery routes and vehicle allocation.
- Manage company delivery vehicles, drivers, and delivery staff.
- Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
- Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance, fuel consumption, and utilization.
- Coordinate vehicle breakdowns and repairs with the Transport and Maintenance team.
Branch and Customer Coordination
- Coordinate delivery requirements with branches, restaurants, catering units, and receiving locations.
- Ensure correct quantities and products are delivered to each location.
- Resolve shortages, damages, delivery discrepancies, and schedule issues.
- Maintain effective communication with receiving teams.
Team Management
- Supervise dispatch coordinators, drivers, loaders, and other logistics staff.
- Allocate daily duties and delivery assignments.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance.
- Train staff on safe loading, handling, delivery procedures, and company policies.
Inventory and Food Safety
- Verify dispatch quantities against approved orders and delivery documents.
- Monitor loading and unloading procedures and ensure proper documentation.
- Ensure chilled, frozen, and ambient products are handled appropriately.
- Maintain food-safety, temperature-control, vehicle-cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
Cost and Performance Management
- Monitor transportation and logistics costs, overtime, fuel consumption, and vehicle utilization.
- Track delivery efficiency and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Prepare regular logistics and dispatch performance reports for management.
- Track on-time delivery, dispatch accuracy, completion rate, vehicle utilization, complaints, and staff productivity.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, or distribution operations.
- Experience in food production, FMCG, catering, retail, or multi-branch operations is highly preferred.
- Previous experience managing a large delivery fleet and logistics team.
- Strong knowledge of route planning, dispatch operations, and delivery management.
- Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- MS Office and logistics or ERP systems proficiency is preferred.
- A valid Qatar driving license would be an advantage.
