Role Overview
POME is seeking a Logistics Operations Coordinator to join its Logistics Department in Abu Dhabi.
The role coordinates day-to-day air freight, sea freight, and land transportation activities.
The position supports the Logistics Manager while independently owning operational tasks and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, transport companies, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Arrange air freight, sea freight, and land transportation and follow shipments from booking through delivery.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and logistics documentation and records.
- Track shipment status, provide updates, and proactively resolve delays or pending matters.
- Request transportation and freight quotations when required.
- Ensure logistics activities and documentation are accurate and completed within required timelines.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or operations is required.
- Practical experience with air freight, sea freight, and land transportation is required.
- Experience coordinating with shipping companies, freight forwarders, transport companies, and suppliers is required.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic-speaking ability is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer applications is required.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple shipments, and take ownership from start to finish is required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, highly organized, and strong at follow-up.
The candidate should be comfortable managing multiple suppliers, logistics providers, shipments, and operational requirements simultaneously.
