Role Overview
The Logistics Coordinator manages delivery scheduling, shipment tracking, materials handling, and logistics documentation.
The role supports customers, subcontractors, suppliers, forwarders, and the wider logistics team.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate delivery schedules two weeks in advance.
- Organize and track shipments to customers and subcontractors.
- Load and unload trucks with materials and parts.
- Pack materials and parts according to quality and safety standards.
- Control and retain shipping documentation through document control.
- Support logistics documentation requirements.
- Move parts around the shop floor safely and efficiently.
- Create and maintain copies of EPI invoices.
- Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve customer complaints.
Qualifications and Skills
- A diploma or relevant logistics experience is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is required.
- Communication and coordination with suppliers, customers, and freight forwarders are required.
- The ability to manage multiple shipments and work under pressure is required.
- Knowledge of local and international shipping regulations is required.
Experience
- Experience operating within a logistics role is required.
- Five to ten years of logistics experience is required.
- Aerospace, defence, and oil and gas experience is desirable.
