Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily lifting, hoisting, and rigging activities involving cranes, winches, and associated equipment
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, risk assessments, and permit to work requirements
- Verify that all lifting equipment and rigging gear are properly inspected, certified, and maintained
- Conduct pre lift briefings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Allocate and supervise foremen, riggers, crane operators, and banksmen
- Monitor site lifting activities for compliance with company procedures and QHSE standards
- Coordinate with Construction, Marine, Technical, Logistics, and QHSE teams
- Identify lifting hazards and implement corrective actions
- Review load weights, lifting configurations, crane capacities, and rigging arrangements
- Participate in site inspections, lifting audits, and equipment assessments
- Maintain lifting records, equipment certifications, and daily reports
- Investigate lifting related incidents and recommend corrective measures
Requirements
- Secondary School Certificate supplemented by a discipline specific technical qualification or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the same or related industry

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily lifting, hoisting, and rigging activities involving cranes, winches, lifting appliances, and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and permit to work requirements.
- Verify that all lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging gear are properly inspected, certified, maintained, and fit for purpose prior to use.
- Conduct pre lift briefings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings to ensure all lifting personnel understand the applicable procedures, hazards, and responsibilities.
- Allocate, direct, and supervise the activities of foremen, riggers, crane operators, banksmen, and supporting personnel to ensure lifting operations are completed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor site lifting activities to ensure compliance with company lifting procedures, project requirements, QHSE standards, and applicable statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with Construction, Marine, Technical, Logistics, and QHSE teams to ensure lifting activities are properly planned, scheduled, and integrated into project execution plans.
- Identify lifting hazards, unsafe practices, and operational risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize incidents and operational disruptions.
- Review load weights, lifting configurations, crane capacities, and rigging arrangements to ensure lifting operations are technically sound, safe, and operationally feasible.
- Participate in site inspections, lifting audits, and equipment assessments to verify compliance and operational readiness.
- Ensure lifting records, equipment certifications, daily reports, lifting registers, and inspection documentation are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
- Investigate lifting related incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and equipment failures, and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
Qualification and Experience
- Secondary School Certificate supplemented by a discipline specific technical qualification or an equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the same or related industry.
