About the Role

Responsibilities
- Designated as in charge of coordinating, controlling and executing the lift
- Select suitable lifting appliance and lifting accessories for specific tasks
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC permit to work and job safety analysis
- Prepare lifting plan and ensure required controls are in place
- Ensure lifting equipment is maintained, inspected and appropriate for use
- Check load integrity and stability
- Ensure all necessary inspection/test certificates are available
- Ensure people involved are competent and aware of tasks and responsibilities
- Brief people involved in or affected by the lift
- Ensure lift is carried out following the plan; suspend if conditions change
- Monitor performance of involved personnel
- Manage special issues such as language barriers and new/inexperienced staff
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in offshore and onshore lifting in the oil and gas EPC industry
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Competent to act as Appointed Person for lifting equipment
- Able to write lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil and gas companies
- Familiar with international standards related to lifting engineering practices

Role Overview

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in offshore and onshore lifting in oil and gas EPC industry
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Adequate training and hands on professional experience to act as Appointed Person for lifting equipment
- Able to write lifting plans, supervise and execute critical lifting in oil and gas companies
- Familiar with international standards related to lifting engineering practices
