Role Overview

Operational Responsibilities

• Plan assigned activities and use equipment and tooling within Qatar Airways procedures.
• Review work procedures and standards and propose improvements.
• Release work completed by mechanics and verify compliance with company and customer standards.
• Ensure maintenance tasks meet policies, reliability targets, and acceptable deferred-defect levels.
• Resolve technical problems within delegated authority and maintain aircraft or component serviceability.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to technicians and aircraft mechanics.
• Supervise workmanship, quality, and correct tool usage.

Qualifications and Essential Criteria

• Have five years of job-related experience with a qualifying school, vocational, or diploma credential, or four years with a bachelor's degree.
• Hold a diploma or vocational qualification in aircraft maintenance, or a degree in aircraft engineering or equivalent.
• Hold at least one full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO or QCAA license and required approvals.
• Arrange required equipment and a heavy vehicle driving license if required for maintenance tasks.
• Demonstrate tool selection, mathematical problem solving, equipment or system control, and team management skills.
