Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft as per company and regulatory procedures
- Ensure assigned zones/aircraft are maintained per latest revisions of approved technical publications
- Ensure personal approvals/licenses are valid and applicable to aircraft types
- Handle off aircraft tasks such as spares handling and ensure paperwork is complete
- Determine if tooling/equipment is serviceable and use specialized tooling where required
- Carry out trouble shooting and component changes in accordance with AMM, IPC, or other documentation
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with safety rules and company procedures
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and managers to ensure seamless information flow
- Complete reports related to service delays, incidents, and accidents
- Manage performance of staff using performance review process
- Attend training/recurrent modules to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements
- Be available for deployment anywhere within EK operation including diversionary airfields for AOG recovery
Requirements
- Degree or Honours in Engineering, Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic, Tech Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering
- 10 years experience in aviation maintenance environment
- 5 years experience in Engineering as a certifying staff
- Minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals
- Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters related to aircraft operation and maintenance

Job Purpose
- As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer I in Aircraft Cabin Maintenance, carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft as per company and associated regulatory procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out aircraft maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance with manufacturer and safety procedures.
- Ensure assigned zones/aircraft are maintained per latest revisions of approved authority Technical Publications.
- Ensure personal approvals/licenses are valid and applicable to aircraft types.
- Ensure all off aircraft tasks (spares handling, robberies, hold items) are handled in compliance with company procedures.
- Determine if tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task.
- Ensure trouble shooting procedures/tools used for fault rectification are cost effective and efficient.
- Carry out component changes as necessary in accordance with AMM, IPC, or other manufacturer/vendor documentation.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained.
- Maintain effective communication with Colleagues including Managers and Senior Engineers.
- Ensure relevant reports related to service delays, incidents, and accidents are completed in detail.
- Manage the performance of staff using performance review process and system.
Qualification
- Degree or Honours in Engineering, Aeronautical subjects, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic, Tech Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering Licence.
- 10 years experience in aviation maintenance environment.
- 5 years experience in Engineering as a certifying staff.
- Minimum of 2 aircraft type approvals.
- Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.
