Role Overview

Compensation

• Total annual package is up to USD 242,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
• Compensation includes base salary and a monthly performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary.
• Annual salary reviews take place every January.

Workplace

• The position is remote globally with meaningful time zone overlap.

First-Year Priorities

• Build a monthly legal exposure audit into the operating rhythm of the business.
• Run quarterly compliance sweeps across checkout flows, terms, arbitration clauses, pricing, and FTC endorsement guidelines.
• Negotiate hedge fund subscriptions, side letters, and LP terms before capital deployment.
• Review fund documentation, custody arrangements, loan covenants, and counterparty protocols quarterly.
• Enforce account whitelists, multi-party verification, and transfer protocols for investment security.
• Structure asset protection across multiple international jurisdictions.
• Identify five material legal risks that were not assigned within the first 90 days.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Five to ten years of legal experience, ideally across law firm and in-house roles.
• Experience managing multiple outside counsel relationships simultaneously.
• Ability to operate independently as the sole legal resource.
• Active use of AI tools for legal research, drafting, and risk identification.
• Proactive legal risk identification, cross-border legal coordination, and independent judgment are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Corporate or commercial law experience at a mid-market or BigLaw firm before moving in-house.
• Exposure to fund finance, LP agreements, or NAV-based lending.
• Familiarity with consumer protection law, FTC and state statutes, or DTC e-commerce regulation.
• Experience supporting corporate transactions or due diligence.
• High-net-worth or family office client experience.
