Role overview

Litigation and dispute resolution

• Manage RDC cases, tenancy disputes, rental claims, eviction cases, non-payment disputes, civil and commercial cases, labour disputes, and applicable criminal matters.
• Handle RDC cases from initial assessment through case preparation, filing, hearings, judgments, enforcement procedures, and appeals.
• Prepare statements of claim, responses, legal notices, evidence files, legal summaries, submissions, and supporting documentation.
• Attend hearings, expert meetings, judicial inspections, RDC proceedings, and assigned site visits.
• Coordinate with external lawyers and legal counsel while monitoring litigation progress, deadlines, judgments, and enforcement actions.
• Maintain up-to-date case files, litigation trackers, RDC case registers, and management reports.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, LLB, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in legal advisory or a closely related legal role.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the UAE real estate sector.
• Proven hands-on experience managing Rental Dispute Center cases in Dubai.
• Strong working knowledge of UAE laws, regulations, court procedures, tenancy regulations, RDC procedures, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Demonstrated experience

• Contract drafting and review, legal advisory, UAE real estate and tenancy matters, and hands-on management of RDC cases and rental disputes.
• RDC case filing, preparation of claims and responses, evidence submission, hearing follow-up, judgments, enforcement, and appeals.
• Eviction proceedings, tenancy-related claims, debt recovery, bounced cheque matters, legal notices, and pre-litigation procedures.
• Practical experience with DLD, RERA, RDC, MOHRE, and relevant government or free zone authorities.

Preferred skills and competencies

• Strong practical expertise in Dubai RDC procedures and tenancy dispute resolution.
• Ability to independently manage RDC cases, including assessment, documentation, filing, hearing follow-up, judgments, enforcement, and appeals.
• Strong contract negotiation, legal risk assessment, dispute resolution, problem-solving, follow-up, and case management skills.
