Virtualisation and Server Infrastructure
- Administer VMware vCenter and ESXi v7.x and v8.x infrastructure across a nine-host server fleet.
- Manage cluster operations, vSphere HA/DRS configuration, resource pools, and host patching within approved maintenance windows.
- Provision virtual machines, monitor resource utilization, and implement right-sizing recommendations.
- Monitor physical host health through iLO, iDRAC, and vCenter hardware status.
- Coordinate firmware and driver updates, hardware failures, and vendor RMA processes.
- Configure and maintain on-premises physical and virtualized servers.
- Diagnose server-level operating system and application issues and apply security patches within approved windows.
SAN Storage Management
- Administer HPE MSA 2060 and MSA 2050 arrays, including disk groups, virtual pools, volumes, and host mappings.
- Monitor storage health and I/O performance and coordinate drive replacements and firmware updates.
- Administer the Dell EMC VNX unified storage platform, including storage pools, LUNs, file systems, and CIFS/NFS shares.
- Coordinate with Dell EMC support for firmware updates and fault resolution.
- Administer the Huawei Dorado all-flash array.
Requirements
- Experience administering VMware vCenter and ESXi infrastructure, including cluster management, vSphere HA/DRS, resource pools, and host patching.
- Ability to provision virtual machines, monitor resource utilization, and implement right-sizing recommendations.
- Experience administering on-premises physical and virtualized servers and diagnosing server-level operating system and application issues.
- Experience administering HPE MSA, Dell EMC VNX, or Huawei Dorado storage platforms.
