The Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for supporting day-to-day inventory control activities by accurately scanning and recording merchandise using PDD (Portable Data Device), completing assigned inventory bins, and ensuring stock information is accurate and up to date. The role requires st
Key Responsibilities
- Scan item barcodes using PDT devices to capture and update inventory information accurately.
- Verify item details, quantities, and locations during the scanning process.
- Ensure all assigned items are properly scanned and recorded without duplication or omission.
- Complete assigned bins as per the daily inventory plan and target.
- Ensure all items within assigned bins are scanned and accounted for.
- Maintain proper organization of items within designated bins and storage locations.
- Ensure high accuracy in scanning, counting, and recording inventory.
- Re-check items where discrepancies or scanning errors are identified.
- Report damaged, missing, misplaced, or unidentified items to the relevant supervisor.
- Operate PDT/scanning devices efficiently and responsibly.
- Ensure the correct item, barcode, quantity, and location are captured in the system.
- Immediately report any PDD/device or system-related issues that may impact productivity or accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of experience in inventory control, stock handling, warehouse operations, retail operations, or stockroom activities.
- Previous experience using barcode scanners, PDDs, RF scanners, or inventory management systems.
- Retail or large-scale warehouse experience.
- Work Timings: Night Shifts.
