Supervisor - FOH

Position Objective

People Management

• Lead by example and treat team members and guests with respect.
• React promptly to issues requiring attention during the shift.
• Provide ongoing direction, motivate team members, and promote an engaging work environment.
• Train, orient, and monitor new team members.
• Report team member performance to the Store Manager.
• Assist with team coverage and work operational positions during busy periods.

Hospitality Management

• Prioritize guests and reinforce positive hospitality behaviors with team members.
• Respond to guests in a friendly manner while maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Resolve guest service complaints promptly and turn negative situations into positive outcomes.

Operations Management

• Comply with and enforce Tim Hortons operating standards and store policies.
• Ensure products and packaging are stocked and properly merchandised.
• Maintain shift cash procedures, work schedules, operational efficiency, and required documentation.
• Supervise completion of primary and secondary duties and escalate issues to management.
• Keep current on new products, promotions, and discount schemes.
• Assist the Store Manager with sales and transaction goals.

Health and Safety

• Follow safe work practices and use required personal protective equipment.
• Report injuries, illnesses, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents, and safety violations.
• Ensure health and safety policies, documentation, and incident reporting are followed during the shift.

Cashiering

• Supervise store technical equipment and ensure it is working properly.
• Count tills at the beginning of shifts and confirm the correct amount of cash and change.
• Process cash, credit card, voucher, and automatic debit payments when required.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change correctly and maintain clean checkout areas.

Requirements

• Supervise team members and ensure primary and secondary shift duties are completed.
• Follow and enforce operating, cash, meal and break, food safety, and health and safety policies.
• Handle cash, payments, receipts, refunds, and change accurately when required.
• Use required personal protective equipment and follow safe work practices.
