About the Role

Responsibilities
- Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve Mechanical (Rotating Equipment) Engineering issues
- Review and approve Contractor key deliverables within Mechanical (Rotating Equipment) discipline
- Review and approve equipment design, system design, testing, specifications, calculations, drawings, and data
- Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors
- Attend technical meetings with Owner, Licensor, Contractor and Vendors
- Attend Project technical sessions such as Design Review, 3D Model Review, HAZOP, HAZID, etc.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Contractor’s Mechanical (Rotating Equipment) Engineering design activities
- Supervise and manage review and approval of Contractor’s work
- Coordinate technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
- Offshore project experience required
- PMC & ADNOC experiences are preferable
- Experience in FEED/EPC Phases required

- Review and approve within the specified approval durations, the Contractor key deliverables and other works within the Mechanical (Rotating Equipment) discipline.
- Review and approve the following Contractor’s deliverables: Equipment design and development, System design, Testing of materials, Specifications and design calculations, Designs, drawings and data by other Contractors’ or by Vendors, Engineering studies and reports, Material Requisitions for equipm
- Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors.
- Attend technical meeting with Owner, Licensor, Contractor and Vendors.
- Attend all Project technical sessions by the Contractor such as: Design Review Meetings, 3D Model Review Meeting, Constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID etc.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of Contractor’s Mechanical (Rotating Equipment) Engineering design activities, system integration, and design selection.
- Supervise and manage the review and approval of Contractor’s work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate the required Engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
- Coordinate the technical guidance required to develop new specifications and update existing specifications.
- Coordinate other discipline Engineer’s participation in layout reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
- Minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
- Offshore project experience is required.
- PMC & ADNOC experiences are preferrable.
- Experience in FEED/ EPC Phases is required.
