Responsibilities
- Lead Interface Engineer, responsible for engineering coordination and execution of assigned Interface requirements.
- Coordinate and establish regular interface meetings between Contractor and Company.
- Lead discussions and frequent coordination with Operations, Material Handling Operations and Turn around Team.
- Provide regular updates on Project Interfaces to Process/Commissioning Manager.
- Coordinate and participate in various project related interface meetings and activities.
- Identify, define and execute technical/physical internal and external interfaces through FEED/EPC phase.
- Monitor and control IP Databases for IP’s and IQ’s initiation/correspondence/agreements.
- Review Project Scope of work, implementing strategies, execution plan, Constructing Strategies.
- Ensure HAZOP of battery limit (interface point) is carried out as per project requirements.
- Organize Interface Meetings with internal and external parties for establishing interface point register.
- Closely work with FEED/EPC Contractor Interface team & other stakeholders.
- Focal point for identifying with Operations, Maintenance and Integrity Team key Interfaces between Project and Existing Facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
- ADNOC & Offshore project experience preferred
- PMC experiences preferrable
- Experience in FEED & EPC Phases required
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Job Purpose
- Lead Interface Engineer is accountable for overall Interface activities in the FEED/EPC phase at home office as well as Execution of the Project Interface activities at site.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead Interface Engineer, Project Interfaces, is responsible for engineering coordination and Execution of assigned Interface requirements.
- Coordinates and establishes the regular interface meetings between Contractor and Company.
- Leads the discussions and frequent coordination Operations, Material Handling Operations and Turn around Team.
- Provides regular updates on Project Interfaces to Process/Commissioning Manager.
- Coordinates and participates in various project related interface meetings and activities.
- Focal point and responsible to identify, define and execute the technical/physical internal and external interfaces through FEED/EPC phase.
- Well monitoring and control of the IP Databases, managed for IP’s and IQ’s initiation/correspondence/agreements.
- Actively participates in reviewing the Project Scope of work, various implementing strategies, execution plan, Constructing Strategies.
- Overall Responsibility for Interface Deliverables including establishing and executing interconnections with existing Borouge.
- Ensures that the HAZOP of battery limit (interface point) is carried out as per the requirements of the Project.
- Organize Interface Meetings with internal and external parties for establishing and finalizing of the interface point register.
- Closely working with FEED/EPC Contractor Interface team & other stakeholders.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university, with a minimum of fifteen (15+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry, including a minimum of five (5) years (preferred) in the GCC region.
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, managing a team of Specialists, Senior Engineers, and Engineers.
- ADNOC & Offshore project experience is preferred.
- PMC experiences are preferrable.
- Experience in FEED & EPC Phases is required.
- Experience in Project execution and knowledge of engineering standards is preferred.
- Promote team working and productive operating climate with a multi cultural, multi national workforce.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Working knowledge of various reviews such as PFD/P&IDs review, Hazop reviews and 3D Model reviews etc.
- Expert in technical report writing, technical/coordination procedure and formal technical correspondence.
