About the Role
QC Plus is seeking a Lead Buyer in Qatar to plan and deliver merchandise ranges, conduct demand forecasting, analyze stock data, and support retail and merchandise planning. The role involves managing buying projects, liaising with logistics, and maintaining awareness of market trends.

Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver merchandise ranges to budget, schedule, and customer profile
- Conduct data driven demand forecasting to estimate future order needs
- Analyze stock holding data and develop plans to ensure inventory clearance at expected sell through rate
- Conduct analysis to ensure appropriate retail prices
- Support Head of Retail & Merchandise Planning with monthly communication meetings
- Assist in preparation of annual department budgets
- Oversee submission of new purchase requests to merchandise committee
- Deliver buying projects within budget parameters and maintain strong gross margins
- Liaise with Logistics Team to facilitate timely shipment of supplier orders
- Maintain awareness of trends in retail industry and local market

Role Overview

- Plan, develop, and deliver merchandise ranges to budget, schedule, and customer profile.
- Conduct data driven demand forecasting that includes analysis of internal/external factors.
- Analyze stock holding data and develop/recommend diverse plans to ensure inventory clearance.
- Conduct analysis to ensure appropriate retail prices.
- Provide analytical support to maximize product sales performance.
- Support Head of Retail & Merchandise Planning with monthly communication meetings.
- Assist in preparation of annual department budgets.
- Oversee submission of new purchase requests to merchandise committee.
- Deliver buying projects within specified budget parameters.
- Support Merchandise Manager with creation of standardized merchandise project critical path.
- Liaise closely with Logistics Team to facilitate timely shipment of supplier orders.
- Maintain awareness of trends in the wider retail industry, museum retail, local market, and new suppliers.
Qualifications
- Experience in buying, merchandising, or retail planning.
- Strong analytical skills for demand forecasting and stock analysis.
- Ability to manage buying projects within budget and timelines.
