About the Role
Emirates Engineering seeks a Lead Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance on Emirates and third-party aircraft components. The role requires a vocational diploma or apprenticeship in mechanical/avionics engineering and experience in aircraft maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing tasks in accordance with component maintenance manual procedures
- Complete component replacement and other maintenance activities as directed by immediate supervisor
- Use specialized tooling or test equipment for checking, testing, replacement or servicing of systems
- Communicate technical issues to relevant parties to ensure awareness of aircraft serviceability status
- Maintain safety of self and others by taking precautions and keeping work area clean
- Complete maintenance and servicing activities for the Academy's fleet
- Assist in recovery of AOG across EFTA operation including diversionary airfields
- Support line operation of EFTA aircraft as required by operational needs
Requirements
- Vocational/National/Higher National Diploma or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering
- Experience carrying out maintenance on aircraft in an engineering environment
- In depth knowledge of maintenance safety, human factors and general engineering practices
- Must be able to hold a valid Airport Driving Permit as required

Job Purpose
- Emirates Engineering is one of the world's most technologically advanced aircraft maintenance facilities.
- We are GCAA CAR V approved, and support the world’s largest fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
- As Lead Aircraft Mechanic you will carry out maintenance tasks on Emirates and third party aircraft components.
In This Role You Will
- Carry out routine servicing tasks as required in accordance with component maintenance manual procedures.
- Complete any component replacement and other maintenance activities as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Effectively use any specialised tooling or test equipment that may be required.
- Communicate at various levels and liaise with other areas over technical issues.
- Understand company documentation where mechanics sign for tasks action on routine documentation.
- Maintain and ensure the safety of self and others by taking safety precautions.
- Complete maintenance and servicing activities for the Academy's fleet.
- Assist in the recovery of an AOG across EFTA operation including diversionary airfields.
- Support the line operation of EFTA aircraft as required by operational needs.
Qualification
- Vocational/ National / Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Experience carrying out maintenance on aircraft in an engineering environment.
- In depth knowledge of maintenance safety, human factors and general engineering practices.
- Must be able to hold a valid Airport Driving Permit as required.
