Landscape Worker/ Groundsman

Purpose of the Position

Location and Work Setting

• The role is located in Fujairah, UAE.
• Work location is in person and involves outdoor duties in heat, rain, and other weather conditions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic knowledge of landscaping and gardening practices is required.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and plant care is required.
• Ability to operate basic landscaping tools and equipment is required.
• No mandatory certification is required.
• One to three years of experience in landscaping, gardening, or agricultural fieldwork is required.
• Experience with pruning, planting, irrigation handling, and green area maintenance is required.

Plant and Garden Maintenance

• Identify plants, trees, turf, and ornamental shrubs and monitor plant health.
• Report diseases or pest issues and provide care based on plant species requirements.
• Support seasonal planting and landscaping activities.
• Perform pruning, trimming, weeding, planting, replanting, and green waste disposal.

Irrigation Systems

• Inspect and maintain irrigation systems regularly.
• Operate drippers and sprinklers efficiently to avoid water wastage.
• Identify and report leaks, blockages, and system faults.
• Adjust watering schedules based on weather and plant needs.

Physical and Teamwork Requirements

• Maintain physical stamina for outdoor landscaping work.
• Lift, carry, and safely handle gardening tools and materials.
• Follow supervisor instructions accurately and on time.
• Work independently when required and coordinate effectively with team members.
• Maintain punctuality and discipline at work.

Soil, Fertilizers, and Equipment

• Apply fertilizers and soil amendments correctly and safely.
• Prepare soil for planting and landscaping activities.
• Use gardening tools and equipment properly and maintain them in good condition.

Safety Requirements

• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Wear appropriate PPE such as gloves, boots, and masks.
• Handle tools and chemicals safely and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.

• Adjust watering schedules based on weather and plant needs.
