Landscape Engineer

Job Purpose

Landscape Operations

• Manage grass, plants, palms, trees, pruning, planting media, nurseries, fertilizers, pesticides, and horticultural treatments.
• Inspect, maintain, and optimize drip, sprinkler, subsurface, and semi-automatic irrigation systems.
• Manage artificial turf installation, maintenance, repair, and lifecycle activities.
• Plan seasonal planting, grass regeneration, landscape rejuvenation, and improvement projects.

Contractor and Quality Management

• Manage landscaping service providers and monitor preventive and reactive maintenance against agreements, KPIs, and client expectations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, quality assessments, complaint investigations, and corrective action monitoring.
• Validate contractor invoices against measured performance and contractual obligations.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports and monitor corrective actions through closure.

Technical and Operational Support

• Support business cases and improvement proposals covering materials, technology, sustainability, budgets, and operational enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and stakeholders to review performance and drive improvement.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering maintenance, irrigation, water use, weather, pests, staffing, and initiatives.
• Prepare landscape and irrigation layouts, sketches, programmes, estimates, material schedules, manpower requirements, and equipment plans.

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering or a similar related field.
• At least five years of landscaping experience, including at least two years at supervisory level.
• UAE driver’s license.
• Experience with premium estates, communities, cities, varied planting, and landscape environments.
• Experience and understanding of irrigation systems.
• Ability to understand AutoCAD soft and hard landscaping schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Facilities management or five-star hotel experience is highly regarded.
• Greenhouse experience is an added value.

Technical Knowledge

• Knowledge of horticultural treatments, plant health, pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and biological control measures.
• Proficiency in landscape maintenance, contractor oversight, irrigation operations, and landscape project planning.
